The Digital Video Production class continues to innovate and set high benchmarks. Construction on the eNews Room has begun with the construction of a News desk! The eNews Room will serve as a live Podcasting Media Outlet for news articles currently being created on eLearner Network. Individual eNews Video Articles and CAC content can be viewed and downloaded via a Attribution-Non Commercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-NC-SA 3.0) license at: http://vimeo.com/groups/elearnernetwork
You can also read eNews articles and see video clips at:
http://elearnernetwork.com/enewsThe 21st Century Skills students of the 6th to 8th grade continue to create media solutions to their Challenge Based Questions (CBQ). As my partnership with Google expands so does the opportunity for these students. Students will now be editing there video content via their own YouTube Channels. Thus saving on class time and hardware disk space. Google Docs continues to engage students with group work activities, and allows for homework updates and homework help in real time. An addition this upcoming quarter will be the use of what I created called eCourses, which has been piloted by Mr. Beck’s 3rd Grade. These are separate grade level State Standard equivalent assessments, which use ISAT Scales to define the score ranges of student performance levels within the 21st Century Student Groups. These ranges will result in a student earning: Academic Warning (W) Level 1, Below Standards (B) Level 2, Meets Standards (M) Level 3, or Exceeds Standards (E) Level 4. The same number of multiple-choice questions will be used as identified by the Reading and Science Multiple-Choice Item Counts for State Standard for grades Six through Eight.
- 2nd – 3rd graders are thrilled to be learning about basic skills, techniques and genres of the Digital Video Production class.
- 4th – 5th graders have created Silent Movies. The background was replaced using Adobe Premiere Elements’ Green Screen Techniques.
- 6th – 8th Graders have used Google Docs to produce a varied amount of 21st Century Projects. These students will be using eCourses for assessment.
